This month members of the Book Club # 1 are discussing The Devil in the White City: Murder, Magic, and Madness at the Fair That Changed America by Eric Larsen – a literary nonfiction novel that spans the years surrounding the building of the 1893 Chicago World's Fair and focuses on the investigation into a mysterious killer (widely considered to be the first serial killer in the United States) who used the fair as his hunting ground.
